Description

The PU556 is a bench-height ESD anti-static stool with a moulded polyurethane seat and footring, for standing electronics benches around 900 mm — a favourite of semiconductor and photonics labs. Purchased over 1,865 times to date.

An ESD chair is built with static-dissipative materials throughout, so the chair itself does not accumulate charge. It protects the workpiece alongside — not instead of — wrist straps, grounded surfaces and ESD flooring. Seat

A moulded polyurethane seat — solid, seam-free and wipe-clean. It tolerates routine laboratory cleaning agents and shrugs off knocks, spills and daily wash-down, which is why PU is the default choice for busy shared benches. The dissipative PU seat has no fabric to shed or trap contamination.

Feet or castors

Supplied with feet as standard, which is usually right for a tall chair at a standing bench. Castors are available at a price uplift — specify soft-tyre for hard or vinyl flooring, and lock-off or lock-down castors where the chair must stay put.
