The 401 is a bench-height cleanroom chair with a moulded polyurethane seat, built for classified and controlled environments where seating must not shed and must survive routine decontamination. Its seat adjusts 570 mm to 820 mm with an adjustable footring, suiting standing benches around 900 mm. Purchased over 2,153 times to date.

Cleanroom seating differs from standard lab seating in two ways: a solid, sealed seat with no fabric to shed particles, and a polished aluminium base in place of the standard nylon one. Specify it for cleanrooms, GMP production areas, and pharma or biotech suites. For the seated write-up areas of the same facility, the desk-height 402 is the matching model.
