ESD Infomation:
- All parts of the chair are anti static
- The chair is either covered in “Hi Tech” Fabric or Medistat vinyl which are both dissipative materials and have a resistance to ground point
- That does not exceed 10’10
- The seat and backrest is earthed to the chassis mechanism.
- The chassis is connected to the chromed gas lift, this fits into the polished alloy base and all is grounded via the conductive castors or glides, whichever is fitted.
- The chairs are checked using a OHM – STAT MEGOHMMETER.
- The test is carried out by placing a 5 kilo weight on the chair seat. This weight is connected to the test box and another lead from the test box is connected to a steel plate placed under one of the castors ( or glide) . A charge is then passed through the chair to determine resistance to ground.

- Yes. The 010-ESD is a fully earthed anti-static (ESD) stool. Every part is anti-static: the seat and backrest are earthed to the chassis, which connects through the chromed gas lift to the polished aluminium base and to ground via conductive ESD castors or glides. It has a dissipative moulded polyurethane seat, with a resistance to ground that does not exceed 10^10 ohms, tested with an OHM-STAT megohmmeter. It suits ESD workstations, electronics assembly and static-sensitive labs.
- Can I have feet or castors on the 010-ESD?
- The 010-ESD comes with ESD feet as standard. ESD castors and glides are available for a price uplift. All options keep the chair’s anti-static path to ground intact; soft-tyre castors are recommended for hard or vinyl flooring.
- What guarantee and delivery apply to the 010-ESD?
- UK mainland delivery is included in the price. Delivery to the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland is quoted on request. Every stool comes with a 5-year guarantee against normal wear and tear from the date of delivery, used under normal conditions during a conventional working day. In a shift or 24/7 working environment the guarantee is 2 years from the date of delivery. Purchase orders accepted from schools, colleges, universities, NHS trusts, government organisations and registered businesses. VAT invoice supplied. On finance systems we may appear as Mark Finn Lab Furniture or Lab Tables.
