Description
The 010 ESD is an anti-static sit-stand stool with a moulded polyurethane seat — a perching support for standing ESD benches where a full chair will not fit or operators are on and off the seat all shift. Purchased over 892 times to date.
An ESD chair is built with static-dissipative materials throughout, so the chair itself does not accumulate charge. It protects the workpiece alongside — not instead of — wrist straps, grounded surfaces and ESD flooring. A sit-stand takes weight off the legs without committing to a seated posture — right for test, inspection and line-side positions. Where operators genuinely sit, specify the PU556 stool or a 301 chair instead. The lab chair height guide explains the classes.
Seat
A moulded polyurethane seat — solid, seam-free and wipe-clean. It tolerates routine laboratory cleaning agents and shrugs off knocks, spills and daily wash-down, which is why PU is the default choice for busy shared benches. This model is PU seat only.

- Is the 010-ESD suitable for ESD workstations?
- Yes. The 010-ESD is a fully earthed anti-static (ESD) stool. Every part is anti-static: the seat and backrest are earthed to the chassis, which connects through the chromed gas lift to the polished aluminium base and to ground via conductive ESD castors or glides. It has a dissipative moulded polyurethane seat, with a resistance to ground that does not exceed 10^10 ohms, tested with an OHM-STAT megohmmeter. It suits ESD workstations, electronics assembly and static-sensitive labs.
- Can I have feet or castors on the 010-ESD?
- The 010-ESD comes with ESD feet as standard. ESD castors and glides are available for a price uplift. All options keep the chair’s anti-static path to ground intact; soft-tyre castors are recommended for hard or vinyl flooring.
- What guarantee and delivery apply to the 010-ESD?
- UK mainland delivery is included in the price. Delivery to the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland is quoted on request. Every stool comes with a 5-year guarantee against normal wear and tear from the date of delivery, used under normal conditions during a conventional working day. In a shift or 24/7 working environment the guarantee is 2 years from the date of delivery. Purchase orders accepted from schools, colleges, universities, NHS trusts, government organisations and registered businesses. VAT invoice supplied.
