Description

The 001 is our Deluxe polyurethane bench-height lab chair — a wipe-clean PU seat and backrest on a fully adjustable mechanism with footring, for standing benches around 900 mm where fabric would not survive the cleaning regime. Purchased over 1,689 times to date.

Choose PU where benches see spills, splashes or frequent wash-down. Where staff sit for longer spells and comfort comes first, the upholstered 005 is the alternative; for a seated desk, specify the desk-height 002. The lab chair height guide confirms the right height class.

Seat

A moulded polyurethane seat — solid, seam-free and wipe-clean. It tolerates routine laboratory cleaning agents and shrugs off knocks, spills and daily wash-down, which is why PU is the default choice for busy shared benches.

Feet or castors

Supplied with feet as standard, which is usually right for a tall chair at a standing bench. Castors are available at a price uplift — specify soft-tyre for hard or vinyl flooring, and lock-off or lock-down castors where the chair must stay put. Consider the safety requirements of your working environment before choosing castors on a high chair.
